Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Ali MacGraw is known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her desire to be an artist was in part influenced from her childhood in an New York family of artists. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. After only three movies, MacGraw was named the top female debut at the box office in the world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
