Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to the catchy electro-pop tracks "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has an unique soprano scream, and an aptitude for writing emotional songs with positive lyrics. Like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she is at forefront in the world of mainstream and arty independent music. She ultimately signed a major-label contract to Polydor Records and began making plans to launch her debut album.
