
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who is a striker and captains for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the most prestigious division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team along with Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut and assisted the team in winning the league championship. Morgan was 22 at the time and the youngest player in the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final clash against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She was second in the United States to have 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the United States to score 20 goals in one year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan has also played a role in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which included her on the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
